Course Description:

MSK Ultrasound in Baseball: 2022 is a virtual course where attendees will learn the fundamentals of ultrasound. This course is unique in that experts will discuss case examples and there will be a roundtable discussion about how the sports medicine team utilizes MSK US in the Athletic Training Room. Attendees will gain a great understanding on how to best work with the physicians to improve patient outcomes with MSK Ultrasound.

Course Objectives:

1. Discuss the fundamentals of ultrasound and the diagnostic use in sports medicine

2. Identify shoulder and Achilles musculature under the guidance of ultrasound

3. Describe best practice for utilization of MSK ultrasound in the sports medicine setting

Instructional Level: Intermediate

Target Audience: This course is designed for athletic trainers, physical therapists, physicians, and other allied health care professionals.

Participants have no equipment or materials required to take this education course.
