Course Description: This conference provides educational lectures and hands-on sessions focusing on football injuries and related trending topics. Top speakers from around the nation will be present, including physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, nutritionists, and others.  
  

Conference Objectives will be determined once the agenda is finalized. Below is an example of last year's objective list.

  1. Identify shoulder anatomy and describe the mechanism and treatment of common injuries in the football player.
  2. Discuss operative and non-operative treatments for common upper extremity injuries in the football player.  
  3. Recognize the knee anatomy, management, and treatment of major ligaments in the knee.  
  4. Recognize key operative and non-operative rehabilitation techniques for knee injuries in the football player.
  5. Recognize key modalities and treatments for various injuries and discuss the trends and future in sports medicine.  
  6. Discuss the anatomy, treatment, and rehabilitation for ankle and foot injuries in the football player.  
  7. Demonstrate and apply current concepts for taking care of the spine injured player and other emergency situations.
  8. Discuss and understand current concepts for taking care of the spine injured player and other emergency situations.
  9. Apply current advances in treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to the football player
  10. Recognize current general medical issues and understand the various treatments of everyday occurrence in sports medicine.
  11. Discuss examination, treatment, and rehabilitation for core and hip injuries in the football player.  
  12. Identify mental health needs and post-operative main management strategies with and without opioid prescribing.

Kristin Oliver, M.D., M.P.H., is a national leader in orthopedic regenerative medicine.  She was a partner and a co-founder of Bluetail Medical Group, one of the nation’s pre-eminent regenerative medicine clinics from 2004-2024.  She established clinics for Bluetail Medical Group in Columbia and St. Louis, Missouri, Naples, Florida, Little Rock and Jonesboro, AR, Mankato, MN and Green Bay, WI.  Since leaving Bluetail Dr. Oliver serves as a consultant for physicians and groups who desire adding ortho-biologics to their practices.  

 Dr. Oliver has been practicing in the field of Regenerative Orthopedics for 20 years. The focus of her current practice is the percutaneous use of bio-cellular grafts - including platelet rich plasma, bone marrow concentrate and lipo-aspirate in musculoskeletal injury and disease.   She lectures frequently on these topics as well as the use of MSK ultrasound across the U.S. and has published multiple articles on the topic of orthopedic regenerative medicine.
