Murrell, Jr., MD, MS, FAAOS, is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon and Editor-in-Chief of the Biologic Orthopedic Journal and is a board member of the Institute for Mobility and Longevity. His clinical and research work spans orthobiologics and regenerative medicine across U.S., Middle Eastern, European, and African practice settings, with a long-standing focus on methodological rigor and conflict-of-interest transparency. He also serves as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, Commander of the 7302 MTSB, 3rd MTB, MRTC where his passion lies in the preparation of medical support forces currently on their way out of the door to support combat operations worldwide.

This lecture reviews the global clinical evidence for these therapies across the knee, shoulder, Achilles, spine, elbow, plantar fascia, and intra-articular applications, including emerging GOLDIC data and forthcoming cervical spine work. It closes with the question that matters most at the point of care: in the athletic population, which orthobiologics can we actually rely on for common shoulder, elbow, and knee injuries, and where does the "holy grail" still elude us?
