Course Description:
As health care providers it is important to stay current with best practices regarding prevention and treatment of various injuries. This course will cover various was to help prevent injuries and preservation and biologic treatments for various musculoskeletal injuries. Topics will cover ACL Prevention and Return to Play, Blood Flow Restriction, Meniscal Preservation, Dry Needling and more.
Course Objectives:
1. Discuss strategies used to preserve shoulder structures to improve function, mobility, and ability to perform preservation of the shoulder to maintain function
2. Recognize ACL injury prevention techniques, discuss optimal approaches for movement analysis and ideal joint biomechanics, and biologic treatment options for best outcomes for return to play.
3. Discuss current evidence based practice on innovative therapeutic techniques including BFR and Dry Needling and how to best integrate these tools into your practice.
4. Recognize standards of practice to facilitate soft tissue longevity and health including, menisci, tendons, and labral structures in active and athletic populations.
Instructional Level: Intermediate
Target Audience: This course is designed for physicians, physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, and other allied health care professionals.
Participants have no equipment or materials required to take this education course.
