    Healthcare professionals and members of the Athletic Health Care Team should be prepared to handle and manage medical emergencies that occur to maximize outcomes to athletes. Preparedness can be the difference between life and death when an emergency occurs. This course will provide highlights of emergency preparedness, including an overview of hands-on skills and group practice with hands-on skills training. This course will discuss the importance of being prepared and equipped to handle emergencies in sport. Topics include but are not limited to the management of sudden cardiac arrest, spinal injuries, heat-related illness, fractures, and more.
